Patrick Hellmann gives Lalique a new color dimension In 1926, at the summit of his art, René Lalique created the Tourbillons vase. It is easy to lose yourself in the exquisite Intertwining of clear, yellow or blue glass, the original colors of this vase. Simultaneously graphic, geometric and poetic, its superb Design seems to draw the eye into whorls of crystal and light. In 2008, designer Patrick Hellmann asked Lalique to create a limited edition of 100 Toubillons vases in purple crystal, His signature color. This exceptional hue, the last in the Rainbow and the symbol of nobility in the west, gives the Vase a depth that has never been achieved before. Very rare in nature, this blend of red and blue owes all its beautiful nuances to the talent of the master glass-makers At the heart of Lalique glassware in Wingen. They amply rise to Patrick Hellmann's demand with a subtle, vertiginous blend of purple swirls.

In 2010 and 2011, Patrick Hellmann and LALIQUE create a limited edition of 250 vases in purple crystal, signature colour of the German designer. This exceptional hue, the last in the rainbow, gives this unique piece a depth that has never been achieved before. Red and blue combine harmoniously to create an intense purple, symbol of nobility. Illuminated with changing reflections, each vase is a dazzling masterpiece, embodying seduction, grace and femininity. Very rare in the nature, this colour owes all its nuances to the Glass workers of Wingen sur Moder, heart of the LALIQUE crystal glass-making, which undertake Patrick Hellmann’s challenge: to create a new collector piece for him.
